1. Acceptance

By installing or using Bible Characters, you agree to these terms and to the applicable terms of Google Play. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The app is intended for ages 13 and over.

2. What the app is

Bible Characters lets you browse people of the Bible, read short profiles, explore a family tree from Adam to Jesus and play a "Who am I?" group game. The app follows the Protestant canon of 66 books and contains no Bible text; passages are shown as references and can be opened in your browser or Bible app through bible.com links, which are subject to the terms of that service. The profiles are educational summaries written with AI assistance and reviewed, and the portraits are AI-generated illustrations, not historical images. Some profiles are still "coming soon". The app is not a substitute for Scripture, pastoral care or professional advice, and the translations in its 34 languages were prepared with AI assistance and may contain imperfections.

3. Permission to use the app

Rafael Lima grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, subject to these terms.

The app, its design, software, original text, artwork and branding remain the property of their respective owners and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Bible translations you may read separately remain the property of their owners.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

Copy, resell or redistribute the app or its content, or reverse engineer the app, except where applicable law expressly allows it
Interfere with the security or normal operation of the app
Use automated methods to misuse the app or its advertising

5. Your data

The app has no account and the developer collects no data about you. The characters you mark, your best score and your language stay on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details on ads and the consent form.

6. Ads

The app is free and shows one small banner ad at the bottom of the screen. Ads are provided by Google AdMob and are subject to your consent choice where the law requires it. Rafael Lima does not control the content of third-party ads and is not responsible for third-party products or services advertised.

7. Availability and changes

The app and its content may change, be updated, be interrupted or be discontinued, and the app may not be offered in every country. Rafael Lima may update these terms; the current version and its date remain available on this page.

8. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, completeness or accuracy of content, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rafael Lima is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
