Privacy Policy — Fruit of the Spirit Test

App: Fruit of the Spirit Test (Portuguese: Teste do Fruto do Espírito) Package: com.rafaelrglima.fruitofthespirittest Data controller: Rafael Lima, contact@rafaelrglima.com Effective date: 2026-10-06

1. Summary

  • There is no account, and the test works without an internet connection.
  • Your results never leave your device. For each assessment the app stores only the nine scores, the date and the language, on your device.
  • Individual answers are not kept after a test is finished. Only an unfinished test keeps its answers, so that you can resume it.
  • The app is free and shows one small ad banner (Google AdMob) only on the History and About screens, and only after you have finished a test.
  • Ads and anonymous usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) run only after your consent where the law requires it, and you can change your choice at any time.
  • Analytics never include your scores, your answers or personal data. Your data is not sold.

2. Scope

This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Fruit of the Spirit Test Android app, contact support, or visit the app's pages on rafaelrglima.com. Use of the website itself is also subject to the website privacy policy. The app is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed to children.

3. Information stored on your device

The app stores the following on your device only:

  • For each finished assessment: the nine scores (0-100), the date and the language in which it was taken
  • For an unfinished test only: the answers given so far, so that you can resume it. They are removed when the test is finished or discarded
  • Your settings, such as the language you chose and the optional focus fruit (your consent choices are kept by Google's consent library on your device)

This information is used only to show your results, history and comparisons. It is not transmitted to the developer or to any server, and it is not shared with third parties. The app has no account, no cloud backup of its own and no server-side copy of your results. Your device or Android may back up app data under your own device settings, which is outside the developer's control.

4. Information the app does not collect

The developer does not receive your scores, your answers, your name, e-mail address, contacts, precise location or any content you read in the app.

5. Third-party services

The app uses these Google services:

  • Google AdMob (advertising)
  • Google User Messaging Platform, UMP (the consent form)
  • Firebase Analytics (anonymous usage statistics)

5.1 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows one small banner ad, only on the History and About screens, and only after you have finished a test. Ads are never shown during the test, on results or on the home screen. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising ID, your approximate location derived from your IP address and ad interaction data to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, as described in Google's advertising policy.

5.2 Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics)

To improve the app we record anonymous events: which screens are opened, when a test is started and when it is completed, which fruit screen was opened, and which language was chosen, together with technical data such as the app version, device model and operating system, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Events are linked to a random app-instance identifier. We never send your scores, your answers or personal data to analytics. Firebase Analytics is not used for ad personalization. Analytics data is retained for 14 months and is processed by Google as described in Google's privacy information.

5.3 Consent (Google UMP)

Where the law requires consent (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the app shows Google's consent form on first use, and ads and Firebase Analytics run only after you consent. Where consent is not required, they run under that local rule. You can change your choice at any time in the app under About, then Privacy choices. On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings under Google, then Ads.

6. Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)

For ads and analytics, the legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time without affecting earlier processing. For handling support emails, it is our legitimate interest in answering you (Article 6(1)(f)). The results stored on your device are processed only on your device, under your control.

7. Retention

  • Results and settings stay on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
  • Firebase Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
  • Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to answer you and for security or legal obligations.

8. Your rights and how to exercise them

Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, Brazil's LGPD and similar laws, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent and to complain to a data protection authority.

  • Results stored in the app: they are on your device, so you can access and delete them yourself. Delete any assessment, or all data, inside the app, or clear the app's storage or uninstall it.
  • Ads and analytics: change or withdraw your consent in About, then Privacy choices, and reset your advertising ID in your device settings.
  • Analytics data and anything else: because analytics events are linked only to a random identifier and not to your identity, we usually cannot link them to you. For any request, email contact@rafaelrglima.com and we will help as far as the law and the available data allow.

9. Sharing and sale of data

Your data is not sold. The only third party that receives data is Google (AdMob, UMP and Firebase Analytics), as described above, and only as permitted by your consent choice. Google may process data outside your country under its own safeguards. Google Play and your device manufacturer may independently process installation and diagnostic information under their own policies.

10. Children

The app is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed to children. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, contact us and we will help remove any data.

11. Security

Results are stored in the app's private storage on your device and are protected by your device's security. Nothing is transmitted to a developer server. Keep your device updated and locked.

12. Not a substitute for care

The app is a tool for reflection. It is not a diagnosis and not a substitute for pastoral care or professional help.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the app's features or data practices change. The current version and its effective date remain available on this page.

14. Contact
